NC-17 based entries will no longer be accepted. Though they are very small portion of the site the adult stories have generated almost all of the complaints filed on record in the past year. Moreover, the highest concentration of them are growing in areas with subjects targeted to younger readers and with increasingly controversial subject matters. However, not all NC-17 based stories fall into the description but as result of their increasing volume a decision has been made to resolve this problem. Innocent writers will be affected but this has to be done considering the non-filtering scheme of the site.

Given this news, I have removed my fanfiction from that site and do not plan to visit it any longer. Although I don't read much fanfiction anymore, I really can't stomach my stories or my name being associated with a site that is letting a small group of complainers and a small group of troublemakers (the authors putting stories in the wrong place) dictate the content of the site.

If someone doesn't want to read something, they don't have to, but trying to prevent others from reading it is just plain wrong in my opinion.

Sorry about the long delay in getting this chapter out. I wish I could say future chapters will be coming soon, but I still haven't been able to get much time for writing with various real life events. I will finish this story, I promise my readers that. I just can't promise what century. :-)

100,000! Within a few days of each other, the main http://www.animeprime.com page AND the fanfiction navigation bar both registered their 100,000th hits. (insert cheers here)

Although the fanfiction navigation bar count has been counting since my old Earthlink fanfiction-only website, the main page here on animeprime.com has only been here for about two years (February 14th, 2000, to be exact).

I have renewed my domain name, so I'll be around with more fanfiction and to keep an eye on the releases of the various North American anime companies for a while still. (insert sighs of disappointment here).

Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty: With the events in New York and Washington D.C. over the past week, I have had to take a step back and take a break in writing Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty. It's hard to write about fictional tragic events when a real one is unfolding in front of the world. I hope to finalize chapter 12 soon, but that will depend on how much time I can put into writing in the weeks that follow.

What makes this particularly hard is that the events in Modern Dynasty aren't exactly dissimilar to the horror that unfolded on Tuesday, abet on a different scale and not just in New York and Washington D.C. Even if the tragic events in my stories are only stories, they will now have a different impact on me and my readers than they did before Tuesday.

With all this in mind, I have decided that my Modern Dynasty sage WILL continue until the ending I have long envisioned.

I can't promise that some events might change or be written differently, I am forever changed by these tragic events. When the time comes to write stories based in New York or Washington D.C., I will remember those who lost their lives in real life. Although the events I have planned are dissimilar to the attacks on New York and Washington D.C., they will never be the same because of the impact the terrorist attacks have made on me. Intentionally or subconsciously, I am incapable of writing the rest of Modern Dynasty exactly as it would have if these tragic events had not occurred.

For over five thousand people, the pain has ended. For the rest of us, the pain is just beginning. Be at peace.

Oh, crap! I still have to write Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty and the rest of Modern Dynasty!!

Oh well, that's life.

Modern Dynasty Book Covers and Fanart: The new Modern Dynasty book covers are now online! My eternal thanks to Nici-chan for making the AMD book cover and the new book graphics for all three Modern Dynasty stories. I've also added two new pieces of fanart to the Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty Fanart page based on the art Nici-chan made for the AMD books. Give them a look on the AMD Fanart page and on the other Modern Dynasty pages (BMD, CMD, and AMD).

Added: AMD Chapter 11! The fight for survival continues, both on Earth and off. But even if they win these battles, there's still more battles in their futures. For those that have futures, at least.

Garden of Eva counter tops 100,000! Well, the counter was first started on my old Earthlink web site and came over to Animeprime when I moved my fanfiction here. It's a bit ironic that just as Garden of Eva is coming to a close, the counter has gone over 100,000 hits. Thanks to all my readers. As an extra special thank you, within a week I will put up Garden of EVA 2:666 - God Blows His Nose for your reading pleasure.

Anime Expo 2001: Well, I'm back from Anime Expo. Check out my con report in the No Editing Zone.

I'm sorry I didn't have more Modern Dynasty T-Shirts to give out (I briefly debated offering the one I was wearing, but with three girls fighting over it that could have been messy... maybe a bit fun for me, but mostly messy), but I appreciate that you enjoy my fanfiction enough to have a cat fight over the shirts. I'll be putting up the artwork here on the site soon for everyone to enjoy Nici-chan's work.

Anime Expo 2001: I'll be at Anime Expo 2001 this week, so feel free to track me down and shower me with kisses (girls only please) and cash/prizes (both sexes).

But seriously, I'm going to be on the Anime Online and Fanfiction panels from 5pm to 9pm in Live Programming 2 (Hyatt Hotel Beacon Ballroom A-B) on Friday night. Anime Online will discuss the dos and don'ts of making and maintaining a website (with me talking about animeprime.com, of course) and fanfiction will cover my anime fanfiction, of course. Come by and say hi (be prepared to indicate when and where I might know you from, because my memory is like a bucket riddled with bullets from Vash the Stampede or a Microsoft operating system... lots of memory leaks. ;-)

Added: AMD Chapter 10! Just how many fronts can Ranma and company fight on and still win? They are about to find out.

Sorry for the slower pace of AMD stories this year, but work and my personal life has caused a slowdown in how much time I have to write. Don't worry, I don't have any intention of giving up on my Modern Dynasty series any time soon. Other projects may languish though (not Garden of EVA, which is almost done, of course).

Added: Garden of Eva 2:10: Rei Blows Shinji, Who Sucks Asuka, Who Bites Misato! Sorry, for the wait... all three girls take turns blowing, sucking, and biting in this part of Garden of EVA. Can I top the real Eva ending for incoherent ramblings and mindless brain f**ing nonsense? Stay tuned...

Awards: Added information about AMD chapter 7 & 8 (since they now do voting by the series name, instead of individual chapters) winning third place in the Best of Ranma 1/2 Fanfiction Awards for March 2000.

Added: AMD Chapter 9! For all of recorded hsitory, war has torn apart families. Tough decisions await Akane, her family, and friends.

The Buyierfei left Florida in shambles in ninety-nine, but the physical destruction was just the beginning of their influence on the history of the world. For instance, there's no way the presidential election of 2000 could have hinged on election irregularities in Florida if the Buyierfei had never existed, could it?

This side story is best read after all chapters of Childhood of a Modern Dynasty and the first seven chapters of Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty.

Anime´ is all decked out for the holidays! Please have a happy and joyous time this holiday season as we count down to the (real) end of the Twentieth Century.

What's my Christmas present to my readers? Garden of Eva 2:8 will be released before I go home for Christmas with my family. Unfortunately, it's not a Christmas story (about as far from the spirit of Christmas as you can get, actually), but it's the thought that counts.

October 9, 2000 - Revision time! I've gone back and cleaned up and revised the first five chapters of Childhood of Modern Dynasty. Mostly to fix grammar and spelling mistakes, but also to clean up some parts that I was never particularly happy with. There aren't any major changes that affect the story, but I hope it'll read better for those new to the Modern Dynasty series and for those of you who want to go back and reread the first book of my long saga. You can read them HERE. I'll be revising the other chapters as I have time between writing new chapters. Also, I've added a real nice picture of Akane to my AMD fanart page (this picture might have spoilers for the end of CMD). My thanks to the artist.

The same person who kindly is translating Garden of Eva into Spanish also translated my Not Even If... story into Spanish (No Aunque fueras...). It's above in the Misc Anime section . Okay, this has gotten out of hand now... too bad I can't get my fics translated into Japanese to really bring them full circle.
