Since this is an adult title, removing the actual shots of sex is kind of pointless. Even if it's only available in mosaic form, the shots should be left where they were meant to be.

In at least the compilation version of Countdown that ADV released under the name 'Countdown Conjoined', various shots depicting male and female genitalia were removed. The single episode tapes were apparently unedited.

In addition, ADV/SoftCel apparently cut out two entire episodes with excessively-objectionable material. The missing stories were also published in their original Manga form by Eros Comics/Studio Proteus.  They are:

• "Sweet Lips"- cut from the beginning of "Countdown Continued," published in issue 3 of the comic "Countdown: Sex Bombs." PROBABLE CAUSE FOR REMOVAL: depicts the seduction of an underage girl (described in the text as "getting ready for college" but may just be Eros Comics pulling a fast one) and her mother by a she-male teacher.
• "Kurenai"- cut from the end of "Countdown," published on issue 3 of the comic "Temptation" as "Crimson."  PROBABLE CAUSE FOR REMOVAL: depicts a lonely rich young man playing with his new sex toy, a mindless but living female clone.  VERY sado-masochistic, shows the man cutting out the clone's eye then raping the socket, ends with him comitting suicide by choking himself with the clone's hands.
