General: CPM edited this release to remove sexual situations with a young-looking character. Unfortunately, that was a good 20 minutes of out 128 minutes worth of this series. While Central Park Media released a mosaic-free versions of the 8 hentai OVAs, they deleted and edited many scenes because of sex and nudity involving Lord Onimaro. Every scene that had Onimaro naked, having an erection, or engaged in sexual activities was removed, with the exception of some brief rear nudity in the final OVA. "While Onimaro does look like a child, it had been previously established in the original series Twin Dolls (Seijuu Den) that Onimaro was of legal age (18). Softcell, which distributed and released Seijyuu Den Twin Dolls before Anime 18 released Twin Angels, did not edit any sex and nudity scenes involving Onimaro.

Details – (Note: There are too many small scenes and shots of Onimaro that have been edited out to go into every detail and cut, so I will just cover the major ones)

OVA 1: Long scene of a demon lord instructing Onimaro/tempting him to have sex with women completely removed.

OVA 2: Recap of OVA 1 scene above in OVA 2 also removed. Onimaro in the demon world scene where the demon lord fondles him and simulates oral sex on his horn completely removed. Another scene of Onimaro in the demon world in which he has sex with 3 human women completely removed. Various shots of him naked removed. In fact, there was so much editing in the US release compared to the original that it seems Onimaro was not even in the demon world, (and thus, what is the plot purpose of the Twin Angels going there to rescue him?

OVA 3: Onimaro hitchhikes with several women in a car and has oral sex with them. Every scene that takes place within the car was completely removed, so you only see him in the US version being picked up and dropped off.

OVA 4: No noticeable edits. Shocking.

OVA 5: When Sutra kidnaps Onimaro, she pushes him into her breasts. He fingers her and also gets an erection. This scene was deleted. Onimaro’s transformation scene into the demon king (the pivotal moment of the series) was hacked to death pretty badly. The scene involves Sutra erotically dancing for him, Onimaro pursuing her, and then Sutra transforming into Ai and Mai while having sex with Kama. The whole idea was that Onimaro had to choose to get bigger (iow, become the demon king) so he could have Ai and Mai for himself. In the edited version, all we see is a brief flash of her dance followed by Onimaro starting to become the demon king. (so, all of a sudden Onimaro goes from being into a chair to on the floor, then all of a sudden he has no clothes, and Sutra transforms from the girl back into herself. Sloppy…) There were other parts of the scene with Onimaro chasing after her, and a bird-eye view shot of him transforming that were also deleted.

OVA 6: Since Onimaro is now a demon, no noticeable edits were detected.

OVA 7: There is a long flashback sequence of Onimaro playing in a river. Naked. Most of the sequence was deleted.

OVA 8: Sequence of Onimaro pressing up against Mai’s breasts and his subsequent erection removed.

• The Japanese version is mosaiced as require by Japanese law, but one can buy otherwise uncut imported LDs and/or DVDs of the series.
• Please note that the all US releases of this title have been edited, the original dub VHS, the Nutech DVD of OVAs 1-2, and the new re-release on DVD - all are edited.

• Please write or otherwise contact CPM and voice your opinion about the edits they made to Twin Angels. Remember to be polite as possible and ask for them to release an uncut version of Twin Angels. Threatening or sending them flames will only get your message discarded.
